SOLVENTS & HYDROCARBONS

Organic Solvents are produced in form of volatile fractions in refinery of crude oil. Hydrocarbon Solvents contain paraffinic, naphthenic and aromatic constituents in various proportions. Aliphatic Solvents, Aromatic Solvents. Molecules of aliphatic solvents have straight-chain structure. Hexane (C6H14), gasoline (petrol, benzene), kerosene are aliphatic solvents. Aliphatic solvents are used in oil extraction, degreasing, for manufacturing rubber and paints, as carriers for aerosols and disinfectants. Medium-heavy aliphatic solvents produced from distillation cuts of crude oil. These types of compounds have a various composition of hydrocarbon molecules with different length, and which makes them suitable for various application fields.

Hexane is part of our de-aromatised, special boiling point (SBP) aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents range. These high purity fluids have stable compositions with fixed, narrow boiling ranges, making them especially suited to applications or industrial process conditions where a particular evaporation/drying performance is required. Key application areas include polymerization processes, specialist coatings and adhesives, pharmaceutical and food extraction processes, industrial cleaning and degreasing, textile and rubber manufacturing and catalyst preparation.

Heptane is a colorless fluid with a low odor and a medium, very narrow boiling range, offering a combination of relatively low odor and quick drying. Its ability to dissolve many organic compounds and evaporate easily means it is used as a solvent or diluent in a wide range of industrial applications. Key application areas include polymerization processes, specialist coatings and adhesives, pharmaceutical extraction processes, industrial cleaning and degreasing, textile and rubber manufacturing. Most Importantly catalyst preparation is one of the key applications.

Pentanes are a group of high purity aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents that comprises normal- and iso-Pentane and blends of the two components. n-Pentane’s well suited to blowing agent, propellant for polymerization processes. Pentane plays a fundamental role in the production of polystyrene and polyurethane foams, serving as a blowing agent that helps to expand the raw plastic material and create the honeycomb structure within the foam that imparts excellent thermal properties. In polymerization pentane acts as diluent to dissolve components & assist reaction between other chemicals without interfering with the process.

Molecules of pure aromatic solvents have benzene ring structure like benzene (C6H6), toluene (C6H5CH3) and xylene (C8H10). Pure (high) aromatic solvents are used for degreasing, as thinners, for manufacturing paints, printing inks, insecticides and agricultural chemicals.
